About David
This site is written by an independent editorial desk that tracks Tesla's referral terms and dates every figure it publishes. It is the guide we wanted to find: the current referral benefit, what it is really worth, and exactly where the code applies before you hit “Order”. “David” is a placeholder byline; no personal ownership is claimed.
Why this site exists
Most “referral code” pages are one of two things: a bare code with no context, or a wall of outdated claims. When Tesla reworked the program in 2026 — dropping cash discounts, removing Model S/X, moving to an FSD trial — most of those pages didn't update. I built this to be the opposite: one verified code, clearly explained, and reviewed against Tesla's official terms with a visible date.
How I keep it accurate
- I cross-check the buyer benefit against Tesla's official refer-and-earn page.
- Every page shows a “last reviewed” date so you know how fresh it is.
- I don't invent savings figures — where a number depends on your country or situation, I say so and point you to the official source.
Where the detail comes from
Editorial desk — Tesla referral terms, verified and dated (placeholder persona; see About). The “where do I click” detail on this site comes from running the referral flow through to the order screen and recording what appears, so the “where do I click” details here come from doing it, not guessing.
What this site can and cannot verify
Worth stating plainly, because a lot of pages in this niche imply more than they can support. We can open a referral link, run a configuration through to the order screen, and see whether the benefit line appears — that part is checked directly, and it is where most pages go wrong. What we cannot do is place orders repeatedly to observe what is granted weeks after delivery, so anything about what actually lands in an account comes from Tesla's published terms and from dated reader reports, labelled as such.
We also don't publish an ownership record as evidence. A page can claim any mileage it likes, and you have no way to check it — which makes it worthless as a reason to trust anything here. What you can check is everything else: whether each figure carries a date, whether the sources are named and primary, and whether the page tells you where its own answer stops.
