Yes. Referral codes cost you nothing and require no account or sign-up. You simply apply one when you place your order, and Tesla adds the current buyer benefit — right now that's 3 months of free FSD (North America) or free Supercharging (Europe).

It depends on your country. In North America, new Model 3, Model Y and eligible Cybertruck orders get 3 months of free Full Self-Driving (Supervised) (≈ $297), and US solar buyers get $400 off. In Europe, where FSD isn't yet approved, you get ≈ 2,000 km (~1,300 mi) of free Supercharging instead. In Australia it's a cash-style discount (≈ A$1,400). Apply it at checkout, before you confirm the order. The easiest route is to open the referral link — it launches Tesla's official store with the benefit already attached. If you configure manually, look for the “Referral Code” field on the payment/order step and paste it there.

In North America, no — Model S and Model X were removed from the referral program in March 2026, so a code adds nothing for buyers of those two. In Europe, S/X buyers typically receive Tesla account credit (around €500) instead of the Supercharging that Model 3/Y get. Either way, Model 3 and Model Y always get the headline reward.

Officially the code must be applied at order time. If you forgot, contact Tesla support immediately — in some cases they can add it before your car is assigned or delivered, but it's not guaranteed. Don't rely on it: apply the code before you confirm.

Generally yes. The FSD trial is separate from government EV incentives, and from any inventory or promotional pricing Tesla is running. It does not reduce the car's price — it adds a software trial (or solar discount) on top.

The referrer earns $250 in Tesla Credits per successful referral (usable on Supercharging, service, upgrades and the Tesla Shop), capped at 10 referrals per calendar year. It costs you nothing and doesn't change your benefit.

Yes — the code on this site belongs to a real, active Tesla owner (me) and the benefit details are reviewed regularly against Tesla's official program. Because Tesla changes terms often, the page shows a “last reviewed” date, and you should always confirm the benefit appears in your Tesla order before paying.

The code itself is not country-scoped — it identifies an owner's account, not a market. What is country-scoped is the store you land in, and that is where this goes wrong. Opening a link built for the United States drops you into the US store, priced in dollars, with the US benefit; finish an order there and you have bought a car in the wrong market rather than claimed a better reward.

So the rule is not "use a code from your own country" but "reach your own country's store". The country segment in the URL is what decides that. Every code in our pool works from any of the market pages on this site, and each one sends you to the correct local store — pick your country here. The reward you receive is set by the market you order in, never by where the code's owner lives.

This is the case we are least able to answer confidently, so treat what follows as a map rather than a ruling. The referral attaches to the order placed in a particular market's store, and the reward for that market is what appears in your order summary. Cross-border purchase and registration inside the EU is a well-trodden path for other reasons — price differences, availability — but it brings VAT, registration tax and delivery-location questions that dwarf any referral consideration.

What we would check before ordering, in this order: whether Tesla will deliver to the country you intend to register in, what the tax treatment is for your situation, and only then whether the reward shown is the one you expected. A Supercharging reward is usable across borders; a market-specific incentive usually is not. Get advice on the tax side — the referral is the smallest variable in that decision by a wide margin.

We do not know, and Tesla does not document it. The ambiguity is real rather than invented: the referral attaches when you order, but the reward is granted around delivery, so two different sets of terms could plausibly apply — and this program changed more than once during 2026.

You can neutralise the uncertainty without resolving it. Before you pay, screenshot the order summary with the benefit line visible, and note the date. That is the only record of what you were shown at the moment you committed, and it cannot be reconstructed afterwards. Check what actually lands after delivery; if it differs, raise it immediately with the screenshot rather than weeks later. Most orders will never need it, which is precisely why it costs nothing to have.
