Reviewed — one person (David) writes and maintains every page on this site, including this one.
The short version
This is a one-person site with no login, no account, and no ad network. The only personal data that reaches me directly is whatever you type into the contact form. Everything else below exists to explain that plainly, not to bury it.
Who runs this site
Tesla David is written and operated by David — see the about page for the ownership background. There is no company, no data-processing team, and no third party with editorial access to this policy or the site's content.
The contact form
The contact form opens your own email client and sends the message directly to my inbox as an email — the name, address and question you type go nowhere except that one inbox. I don't import it into a mailing list, a CRM, or a subscriber tool. If your question becomes the basis for a blog post, I write it up without your name unless you've told me it's fine to use it.
Aggregate analytics, only if configured
This site's codebase supports Google Analytics 4, but the tracking script only loads on a given deployment if a real GA4 measurement ID has been configured for it — an unconfigured deployment ships zero analytics code, not a disabled one. Where it is configured, GA4 reports aggregate page traffic (which pages get read, roughly how many visitors) and does not identify you by name or email.
Referral-link clicks
When analytics is configured, clicking the referral link or the "Copy" button on the code card fires an event (referral_click or copy_referral_code) recording which referral code was used and where on the page you clicked — this is how I know the on-page rotation across multiple valid codes (see how it works) is being used fairly. It does not capture your name, email or any Tesla account detail; I have no visibility into your Tesla order at all.
No accounts, no cookies for you
You never create an account here, and applying a referral code requires no sign-up on this site — you paste it directly into Tesla's own checkout. This site's own code doesn't set tracking cookies or use browser storage to identify you across visits; any cookie you do see in your browser tools comes from Google's analytics script itself (only present when configured), not from anything written by this site.
Where a click actually sends you
The referral link and every "Get the code" button send you to Tesla's own store at tesla.com or ts.la. From that point, Tesla's privacy policy governs your order, your account and any data Tesla collects — I have no access to it and no ability to change what Tesla does with it. If a successful referral results from your order, Tesla credits my account directly; that transaction is between me and Tesla, not something that requires or reveals your personal data to me.
How long anything is kept
Contact-form emails live in my personal inbox for as long as I keep any email — I don't run a separate deletion schedule for them, but I also don't forward, sell or repurpose them beyond replying to you. Aggregate analytics data (where configured) is retained under Google's own GA4 retention settings, which I don't override.
Children's privacy
This site is about a car-purchase referral program and isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects changes, I'll edit this page and move the "reviewed" date at the top — the same honesty standard applied to every program-fact page on this site. I won't backdate a change to make it look older than it is.
