What the code gets you in Australia
Australia is the market where we are least willing to print a confident number, and we would rather say so than guess. Australian referral terms have been relaunched, paused and changed more often than any other market on this site, secondary sources contradict each other on whether the current benefit is a dollar amount, free Supercharging or nothing at all, and the amounts quoted publicly have ranged from about A$350 to about A$1,400. Open the link, configure, and read what your own order page says — that is the only figure worth acting on here.
Model S / Model X: Model S and Model X have very limited availability in Australia and are not the focus of the program.
What that reward is actually worth in Australia
Because the Australian benefit's form is unsettled, there is no honest conversion to publish. If your order page shows Supercharging credit, the arithmetic is the same as Europe's — kilometres × 14–18 kWh/100 km × your local rate. If it shows a dollar amount, take the dollar amount.
| Supercharger price band | $0.45 – $0.85 per kWh |
|---|---|
| Consumption used | 14–18 kWh/100 km (Model 3 / Model Y, real-world band) |
Estimate, not a quote — distance × consumption × local rate, so you can substitute your own figures. How we calculate it.
Applying it on Tesla's Australia store
The link opens Tesla’s Australia store with prices in AUD. Order of operations is the same in every market — link first, then confirm the reward in the order summary before paying — and is set out screen by screen in the how-it-works guide.
The referrer's side: Referrer rewards are reported as Tesla Credits, amount unconfirmed for Australia. Full referrer terms.
Australia EV incentives that stack with the code
None of the schemes below affect referral eligibility, or vice versa. Statuses are dated because several change mid-year.

| FBT exemption for electric cars Phasing out · checked August 31, 2026 |
full exemption now, narrowing from April 2027 The headline Australian EV saving, available through a novated lease, and it is on a published phase-down announced on 5 May 2026. From 1 April 2027 the full exemption applies only to eligible EVs valued at $75,000 or less; above that and below the fuel-efficient luxury car tax threshold, a 25% FBT discount applies instead. From 1 April 2029 the full exemption is replaced by a 25% discount outright. For anyone considering a novated lease on a Tesla, the value of ordering before those dates is far larger than any referral reward. Verify at ATO |

Ordering in Australia: the thing that actually catches people out
The FBT phase-down dates are the Australian ordering deadline that actually matters. Attach the referral link anyway — it costs nothing — but do not let an unverified referral figure drive the timing of an order whose tax treatment changes by thousands of dollars on 1 April 2027.
