Ordering a Tesla in Netherlands? The referral benefit here is ≈ 2,000 km free Supercharging — but the number most pages print is only half the story. What the code gets you in Netherlands

Dutch buyers are in the continental Supercharging tier, around 2,000 km on a new Model 3 or Model Y after Tesla doubled the European figure at the end of April 2026. The Netherlands is also the cheapest place in Europe to actually spend it, which cuts in an unexpected direction: the same reward is worth less here in money than almost anywhere else on the continent, because the electricity it replaces is cheap to begin with.

Netherlands-specific caveat: The Netherlands is the one European market where the shape of the reward could genuinely change: it became the first EU country to approve FSD (Supervised) for public use, which removes the regulatory reason Europe gets Supercharging instead of an FSD trial. Tesla has not confirmed a Dutch switch — so check which of the two your order page offers rather than assuming.

Model S / Model X: Model S and Model X buyers typically receive Tesla account credit (around €500) instead of Supercharging.

What that reward is actually worth in Netherlands

2,000 km at 14–18 kWh/100 km is roughly 280–360 kWh. At Dutch Supercharger rates of €0.22–€0.26 that is about €62–€94. That is genuinely one of the larger referral rewards relative to what else is on offer here, because the Netherlands no longer has a national purchase subsidy at all. With SEPP closed, the Dutch money is now almost entirely on the tax side — BPM exemption, the shrinking MRB discount, and bijtelling for company cars.

None of the schemes below affect referral eligibility, or vice versa. Statuses are dated because several change mid-year.

MRB road tax discount Being reduced · checked August 31, 2026	30% discount for 2026–2028 The Dutch EV road-tax break is shrinking, and this is the change most Dutch pages have not caught up with: from 2026 through 2028 electric cars get a 30% discount, meaning you pay 70% of the normal rate rather than a token amount. Bijtelling (company cars) Live · checked August 31, 2026	favourable rate for EVs The addition-to-income rate for private use of a company EV remains lower than for a combustion car, which is why so much Dutch Tesla volume is business lease rather than private purchase.

Ordering in Netherlands: the thing that actually catches people out

With no purchase subsidy left, the Dutch variables are the tax ones — and the MRB discount is on a published downward path, so the year you register matters. Don't waste time hunting for a purchase grant that no longer exists; check the BPM and MRB treatment for the exact trim, then attach the referral link, which takes seconds and interacts with none of it.
