What the code gets you in Norway

Norwegian buyers are in the European Supercharging tier, around 2,000 km on a new Model 3 or Model Y since the end of April 2026. Norway is the market where the referral reward matters least in relative terms and the tax calendar matters most — because Norway gives no purchase grant at all, and the tax advantage that replaced one is being withdrawn on a published schedule.

Model S / Model X: Model S and Model X buyers typically receive Tesla account credit (around €500) instead of Supercharging.

What that reward is actually worth in Norway

2,000 km at 14–18 kWh/100 km is about 280–360 kWh, which at €0.40–€0.60 per kWh is roughly €112–€216 — high in euro terms. But set it against the VAT change below, which moves the price of a Tesla in Norway by tens of thousands of kroner, and the ordering of priorities is stark.

Applying it on Tesla's Norway store

The link opens Tesla’s Norway store with prices in NOK. Order of operations is the same in every market — link first, then confirm the reward in the order summary before paying — and is set out screen by screen in the how-it-works guide.

The referrer's side: The referrer also receives roughly 2,000 km of free Supercharging (or Tesla Credits up to about €500). Full referrer terms.

Norway EV incentives that stack with the code

None of the schemes below affect referral eligibility, or vice versa. Statuses are dated because several change mid-year.

SchemeAmount and how it works
BEV VAT threshold
Phasing out · checked August 31, 2026
25% VAT above NOK 300,000

Norway does not hand out EV grants; it discounts tax instead, and that discount is being wound down on a published timetable. From 1 January 2026 the VAT-free threshold for battery-electric cars fell to NOK 300,000 — down from NOK 500,000 — with 25% VAT applying to the value above it. It is scheduled to fall again to NOK 150,000 in 2027 and to disappear entirely in 2028. Because a Tesla sits well above the threshold, each step change moves the on-the-road price by a large amount, and delivery year is therefore the single biggest variable in a Norwegian purchase.

Use-side perks
Being reduced · checked August 31, 2026
reduced tolls, parking, ferries

Reduced road tolls, municipal parking rates and ferry fares remain, but they are set locally and have been trimmed repeatedly. They are a running-cost benefit, not a purchase one — which makes them worth more to a high-mileage commuter than to an occasional driver.

Purchase grant
None · checked August 31, 2026
none

There is no Norwegian equivalent of SEPP, Plan Auto+ or the bonus écologique. Any page listing a Norwegian EV purchase grant has confused tax relief with a subsidy.

Verify before you budget. Confirm eligibility at the official source linked in each row — why these figures move so often.

Ordering in Norway: the thing that actually catches people out

In Norway the question that dominates is which side of a VAT threshold change your delivery lands on, not which referral code you use. Get the delivery-window answer from Tesla first; the referral link costs nothing to attach on top and does not affect the tax calculation.
